CORRESPONDENCE COURSE - HOW IT WORKS We won't leave you to study alone ! You are carefully monitored at each stage, making sure you understand onetopic before moving on to the next. Our course is fully interactive - with the student !! The only additional items needed to complete any of our correspondence course is a plotter and dividers, pencil and paper. In the initial pack you will receive the following:- RYA Charts 1 and 2 (Day Skipper and Yachtmaster only)
Practice Navigation Tables (known as PNTs)
5011 Book - Chart Symbols and Abbreviations (Day Skipper and Yachtmaster only)

Paper Study notes giving you a complete book for future reference

The course is divided into 8 sections and at the end of each section there is an assessment to return to us for marking.
This is then returned to you with the next section of the course, and so on until the end.
However if you are overseas or want the course done quickly, we will send all study notes and exercises in one go - you can simply then send all your assessments back by email.
All assessments, as far as possible, are marked the day we receive them and the results sent back to you the same day.
If you get stuck you simply give us a call or send an email. The phone is manned 7 days a week 365 days a year - up until "bed-time"!!
The Day Skipper has 2 final assessment papers, the Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster has 3 final assessment papers and the Ocean Yachtmaster just one, which need to be invigilated by a friend of yours.
On successful completion of the course you will be award the relevant Royal Yachting Association certificate.
